COM MNCG lecture at the conference "Culture in the relationships of the international system”

Perugia, 12 December 2018.

To contribute to the analysis of the complex and controversial positioning of the "cultural" dimension within the international system, Colonel Luca Vitali, Commander of the Multinational CIMIC Group, spoke today at a conference in the city of Perugia, with the aim of presenting the training and employment of CIMIC Operators, aware and capable actors, deployed in crisis areas, to resolve, in a rewarding and lasting way, those potential frictions and conflicts of competences between the civil and military dimensions.

Globalisation, migration, the presence of increasingly sophisticated interconnection and communication systems are - in fact - all factors that have made cultural awareness a must that can acquire new tools for interpreting everyday events. Among these, the CIMIC, which proved to be an indispensable tool for liaison activities as well as support for non-military actors and the civil environment in general, has played an increasingly important and incisive role over the past few years.

"Culture in the relationships of the international system", second conference of the cycle "The dimensions of languages and languages", result of the collaboration between the Army's Foreign Languages School and the Department of Humanities, Languages, Literatures and Ancient and Modern Civilisations 'University of Perugia, ended today after two days of lively confrontation.

The event was attended by teachers and students of the Army's Foreign Languages School, the Department of Letters of Perugia, other Italian universities and the world of culture.
