DJIBOUTI: MEDIA EQUIPMENT FOR EDUCATIONAL DEPARTMENT

Multinational CIMIC Group operators in collaboration with the Volunteer Organizations for development of Djiboutian education

Djibouti, June, 2022.
Following a project born in 2019, supported since the beginning by the Multinational CIMIC Group operators, the Bishop of Djibouti and Apostolic Administrator of Somalia, Msgr. Giorgio Bertin, and the Association for Cooperation and Humanitarian Support (ACSU), have contributed with Melamango onlus to the creation of multimedia rooms in some educational departments in Djibouti area.
The structures were created to help young people, who live in poverty due to a lack of resources and jobs, and migrants arriving from Yemen, Somalia and other African countries.
In recent weeks, Motta di Livenza specialists have coordinated a further phase for the development of the mentioned quick impact project, supporting the Association for Cooperation and for Humanitarian Support in the donation of computer equipment for the Djibouti Diocese school, which hosts about 250 pupils of elementary and middle classes.
The donation ceremony took place with a delivery of some laptops, monitors, mini tower PCs, network switches and cables, connection materials and teaching materials for the students. At the end of the ceremony, Msgr. Giorgio Bertin thanked ACSU and CIMIC cell for the contribution provided in all phases for the achievement of the project.
