MNCG HOSTS THE 1ST SESSION (2026) OF THE WORKSHOP “CIMIC CONCEPT IN SUPPORT OF THE REGIONAL PLANS”

The Multinational CIMIC Group (MNCG) will host the 1st session for 2026 of the Workshop “CIMIC Concept in Support of the Regional Plans” from 27 to 29 January 2026, at MNCG Headquarters, Caserma “Mario Fiore.” Initiated in 2023, the Workshop has developed into a key venue for professional dialogue on the role and contribution of CIMIC in support of NATO’s Regional Plans, while also providing MNCG with the opportunity to share ongoing work and project innovations with other Allied commands.

The January session will bring together MNCG ICCW representatives and CIMIC/J9 stakeholders from major NATO Headquarters and organizations, including SHAPE J9, JFCNP, JFCNF, JFCBS, LANDCOM, 1st GNC, NATO Multinational Corps and Divisions, and NATO Force Structure Headquarters such as ARRC, NRDC-ESP, NRDC-GR, and NRDC-ITA. National representatives from several Allied front-line states Lithuania, Poland and Latvia will also attend, adding operationally relevant perspectives linked to the current security environment.

The Workshop provides a suitable setting for NATO CIMIC representatives and equivalent national counterparts to discuss how NATO CIMIC supports the implementation of Regional Plans and to further strengthen interoperability between NATO and national CIMIC staffs and units. It also offers the opportunity to address current and future challenges related to CIMIC and to review the evolution of the operational and strategic context, ensuring that CIMIC concepts, practices and supporting tools remain coherent and fit for purpose.

Organized by MNCG representatives with the support of key NATO Headquarters and organisations, the Workshop will also include contributions from several stakeholders via VTC, enabling broader engagement and continuity of technical dialogue. Within this framework, MNCG will present ongoing workstreams and project innovations being implemented within the Command, contributing to a shared understanding and to the continued development of CIMIC in support of NATO’s Regional Plans.

MNCG is leading the way on civil-military cooperation.
