MNCG KICKS OFF 2026 WITH AN INTENSIVE CYCLE OF TRAINING AND CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT
The start of 2026 for the Multinational CIMIC Group reflects a focused and demanding work pace. At MNCG Headquarters, Caserma “Mario Fiore” in Motta di Livenza, the coming weeks will concentrate closely sequenced activities that bring together training, professional exchange and concept development.
The aim is clear: to strengthen skills, and increase interoperability in the field of civil-military cooperation, through a pragmatic approach aligned with operational employment and real-world requirements. From a training perspective, the education cycle starting in late January is designed to support a progressive development pathway: solid content, qualified instruction and a tangible balance between classroom learning and practical application.
The activities differ in purpose and target audience, yet remain coherent with the intent: to prepare personnel to contribute effectively to the CIMIC function and, more broadly, to coordination processes with the civil environment in modern operations, leveraging guided work, field experience and multinational exchange. Within this framework, an additional training activity is also underway for personnel of the CIMIC Battalion 25 (CIMIC operator assistants course for new comers MNCG soldiers), already in progress, launched on 11 January 2026 and running for three weeks.
This activity follows the same guiding line: building competencies, reinforcing shared standards and improving the ability to operate in an integrated manner in the operational environment. Alongside training, MNCG will host the Workshop “CIMIC Concept in support of the Regional Plans”, a well-established event to discuss the approach and CIMIC contribution to NATO Regional Plans.
The Workshop also provides an opportunity to share with other Allied commands the work and project innovations MNCG is developing, fostering a shared understanding and reinforcing interoperability across the strategic, operational and tactical levels. In parallel, planning continues for key upcoming activities for the CIMIC community. Preparatory work is already underway for the 19th CIMIC Units Commanders’ Conference (CUCC) 2026. The venue is currently under assessment, and the tentative period is June, in order to enable orderly planning and a coherent set-up of content and engagements.
For updates and news on ongoing activities, we invite you to follow MNCG’s official social media channels. During the spring, additional initiatives in the digital communication domain are planned, aimed at making content, updates and the Command’s activities even more accessible.
MNCG is leading the way on civil-military cooperation.
